We process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal regulations (GDPR, TKG). 2. Hosting by Shopify Our shop is hosted by Shopify Inc. Shopify provides us with the e-commerce platform through which we sell our products (books, cuddly friends, stationery, e-books). Your data (e.g., name, address, payment details) is stored on Shopify's secure servers. 3. Data Collection upon Conclusion of a Contract When you place an order in our shop, we collect the data necessary for the fulfillment of the contract. This includes:

  • First and last name

  • Billing and shipping address

  • E-mail address

  • Purchased items (incl. e-book downloads)

  • Payment method The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR (fulfillment of contract). We store this data for tax and corporate law documentation in accordance with the statutory retention periods in Austria (generally 7 years).

4. Payment Service Providers To process payments, we use external payment service providers. If you choose a payment method, the necessary data (e.g., purchase amount, order details, name) will be transmitted to the respective service provider:

  • Shopify Payments: A service of Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.

  • PayPal: PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A.

  • Credit cards (e.g., American Express): Processing is encrypted via our payment gateway. The transmission takes place on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR (fulfillment of contract). We do not store full credit card details ourselves.

5. Shipping Service Providers To deliver physical products (books, cuddly friends, etc.), we pass on your name and delivery address to the shipping company commissioned by us (e.g., postal service, parcel service provider). This is done exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling the contract (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR).

6. Cookies and Analysis Tools (Meta & Google Pixel) Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device with the help of the browser.

  • Essential Cookies: These are strictly necessary for the technical operation of the shop (e.g., shopping cart function, login).

  • Marketing & Analysis Cookies (Pixels): To optimize our offer and display relevant advertising, we use the Google Pixel and the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram). As a result, data about your surfing behavior on our website can be transmitted to Google or Meta (USA). Newsletter and E-Mail Marketing If you register for our newsletter or consent to receive marketing e-mails at checkout, we will use your e-mail address to send you information about magical novelties and promotions from our publishing house. The processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time, e.g., via the "unsubscribe" link in every newsletter.

8. Your Rights In principle, you have the rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation, and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you have the right to complain to the competent supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (DSB).
